
Sue Thomson is a dynamic leader with more than three decades of experience across the arts, education, church ministry, and nonprofit leadership. She consults on faith-based revitalization and growth, remains actively engaged in the arts through her company, Spiritual Focus Photography & Art, and hosts the monthly ArtNet artists group. She has also served as an officer of the Thomson Allstate Insurance Agency.
As the former Board Secretary, Thomson has played an instrumental role in strengthening governance, supporting executive leadership transitions, and advancing strategic planning and development initiatives at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre. Now serving as Board President, she brings deep institutional knowledge, collaborative leadership, and a steady, forward-thinking vision focused on artistic excellence, organizational sustainability, and strong community partnerships. A longtime Arlington Heights resident, she is deeply committed to the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre’s positive impact through its School of Performing Arts and its presented and produced theatre work.
