HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM – Chicago: Teen Edition Ages 14-18
Pre-Professional Production
In this Broadway and Box Office hit, Roxie Hart is sent to prison after murdering a faithless lover. Follow Roxie as she and the other Merry Murderesses struggle for the spotlight from behind bars. With classic songs like “All That Jazz” and “Cell Block Tango”, we can’t wait for the roaring twenties to hit our stage!
Audition Requirements
- Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show to be accompanied by a karaoke track.
- Karaoke tracks can be played from a provided device or emailed in advance to sopa@metropolisarts.com
- Dance Audition Combination – Tutorial Video Linked in Red
- All auditionees are expected to have reviewed and learned beforehand. Practice will be necessary before your audition day.
Audition Days
- May 15th: 5-8:30pm Vocal Auditions Day 1 + Dance call 6-6:30pm
- May 16th: 1-4:30pm Vocal Audition Day 2 + Dance call from 2-2:30pm
Audition Sign-up – Every auditionee must sign up for a vocal AND dance audition slot.
Audition Form – Every auditionee must complete this form before their audition slot.
Callbacks: Sunday, May 17th from 1-4pm – by invitation only
Rehearsals: June 29th-August 8th, Tuesdays-Fridays 4:30-7:30pm and Sundays 1:30-4:30pm
Tech: August 10th-12th 4pm-9pm
Performances: August 13th at 7pm, August 14th at 7pm, August 15th at 2pm and 7pm
Tuition: $500
