Jingle Bell Jam
Ages 8-18
Calling all singers ages 8-18! Sing alongside opera legend Nathan Gunn, Jeff-Award winning Aurora Penepacker, and Chicago’s beloved JAM Orchestra at the Ravinia Festival on December 6th!
For the last several years, Metropolis School of the Performing Arts has partnered with JAM Orchestra on in-concert productions with great success. This year, we have the exciting opportunity to partner again for JAM Orchestra’s Jingle Bell JAM concert at the Ravinia Festival on Sunday, December 6th. The Children’s Choir would be featured on the concert alongside opera legend Nathan Gunn on Robert Kapilow’s orchestral setting of The Polar Express, along with other holiday classics with Jeff-Award winner Aurora Penepacker.
Please submit a self-tape singing 16-32 bars (to an accompanied track) of a holiday song of your choosing by October 22nd!
Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID
Metropolis Performing Arts Center is seeking main cast and understudies for our staged concert version of Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID, directed by Ty Perry with music direction by Aaron Kaplan. This production is a collaboration with the Metropolis School of Performing Arts and JAM Orchestra.
Pay Rate: Principal Rate: $225 rehearsal stipend, $70 per show; Ensemble Rate: $200 rehearsal stipend, $60 per show; Internal U/S boost of $50
Audition Requirements
Prepare 32 bars or up to 1 minute of material in the style of the show by October 26.

FLOUNDER, a fish, Ariel’s best friend. Rambunctious but cautious. We will consider both ADULT and YOUTH PERFORMER for this role, Age: 15 to 20, Vocal range top: G4 Vocal range bottom: A2
MERSISTERS (Aquata, Andrina, Arista, Atina, Adella, Allana), daughters of King Triton. We will consider both ADULT and YOUTH PERFORMERS for these roles.
YOUTH ENSEMBLE: grades 4-12 to play ensemble parts.
ADULT ENSEMBLE: to play various ensemble parts such as sailors, maids, chefs princesses, sea and pond creatures.
