Metropolis Outreach Mission
 The Metropolis Outreach mission is to provide top quality performing arts education through in- and after-school programming and throughout the community that facilitates a cultural dialogue, connects communities and presents opportunities for the arts to be part of the everyday experience.
These three priorities encompass every Metropolis Outreach program:
Cultural Dialogue – Metropolis Outreach programs use the arts to expand a participant’s world view and understanding of other cultures and encourage students to ask questions and think critically about the world around them. Students use their exploration of the arts to explore their world and culture.
Connects Communities – Metropolis Outreach attempts to break down the suburb-city divide and use the arts to bring students together as part of the greater Chicago community. Through the arts, students find common ground and a common language.
Arts in the Everyday – Through meaningful partnerships, programs are made accessible for everyone, everyday despite age, financial ability, race, ethnicity, location, physical ability, cognitive ability or any other barriers that can be viewed as obstacles for arts integration and facilitation. Metropolis believes in ARTS FOR EVERYONE. Programming may be brought to the classroom, park district, hospital room, special needs facility, shelter, or anywhere else there is a desire to create.
