Metropolis Limelight Singers
Calling all singers, musical theatre lovers and even you Gleeks! Metropolis is starting up our very own show choir and this is your chance to audition. We’re looking for experienced vocalists with great stage presence to join us for an amazing year that has 7 shows lined up - including providing backing vocals for 3 professional bands during their Metropolis shows. Private voice lessons or musical theatre experience preferred.
- Grades: 7-12

- Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 7:30 - 9:00 p.m., 9/28/11 - 6/6/12 (31 weeks)
- Performances: December 14 & 18 (A Carpenters Christmas Special), January 7 (Reely Dan), March TBD (FAME Foundation Fundraiser), April 21 (Piano Man), Dates TBD for Limelight Singers Concert and Performance at Arlington Heights Senior Center

Audition Requirements
- 32 bars of a musical theatre selection
- Be prepared to sight read
- Be prepared for a 20 minute group movement combination
Additional Audition Information
- 15 members will be selected to join the Metropolis Limelight Singers.
- Dress in audition appropriate attire. Please bring a change of clothes and appropriate footwear for the movement combination.
- No acapella auditions will be heard. Metropolis will provide an accompanist.
- Bring sheet music in the proper key.
- Arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled audition time.
- A year-long commitment is required.
