PRIVATE LESSONS

(30 min, 45 min, and 60 min lessons available)
Private instrumental lessons are essential to your musical development. These lessons are tailored, individualized, hands-on experiences that focus on technique, theory, reading and repertoire. Choose an instrument, length of lesson and call us to schedule your lesson. Students in private lessons are eligible to participate in recitals on the Metropolis Stage. GROUP MUSIC CLASSES

Group Guitar Classes

Learn to play guitar through this welcoming class setting. Classes feature intimate instruction, but are large enough for you to benefit from one another’s learning experiences. Both beginner and intermediate students will enjoy learning basic note reading, rhythm, and chord progressions as they develop the skills necessary for advanced playing.

The Art of Musicianship

For students who want to play in a rock band or for players that have also had some experience with a bona fide six-string or drum set, this is the class for you. Beginners must also take at least 4 fifteen minute lessons. All students must have basic knowledge of guitar chords. Electric Guitar required.


Rock Band Performance

For students who want to perform in a rock band or for players that have also had some experience with a bona fide six-string, drum set or vocals, this is the class for you. Beginners must also take at least 4 fifteen minute private lessons. All students must have basic knowledge of guitar chords. Electric Guitar required. Summer Session culminates in a live performance at the MANE Event Festival in Arlington Heights!


ENSEMBLES

Metropolis Chamber Program

Students will become more proficient in the basics of music notation, technique, performance and blending within an ensemble. This concentrated environment encourages students to gain self confidence for solo playing while allowing them to study composers and genres within a group setting.

 

Young Singers Ensembles

This choral program introduces vocal fundamentals of singing in a group, and offers performance opportunities. Through fun and dynamic activities, students learn the basic foundations of vocal technique and ensemble singing, such as; breathe control, harmony, melody, pitch, blending and tone.
