Group Guitar Classes

Learn to play guitar through this welcoming class setting. Classes feature intimate instruction, but are large enough for you to benefit from one another’s learning experiences.

Group Guitar Beginner (60 Min.Classes)
  • Grades: K–2 Thursdays 4:30 p.m.
  • Grades: 3–5 Mondays 5:30 p.m.
  • Grades: 6–12 Wednesdays 6 p.m.
  • Adults Wednesdays 7 p.m.
Group Guitar Intermediate
  • Grades: 6–12 Thursdays 5:30 p.m.

Chamber Ensembles

This unique and essential experience allows your young artist to study composers and genres, while learning to play within an ensemble. By the end, they’ll fine tune their intonation and be able to blend harmony and melody.
  • Beginner Guitar Ensemble (30 min.) Thursdays 7 p.m.
  • Advanced Guitar Ensemble (45 min.) Mondays 7:30 p.m.
  • String Chamber Ensemble (30/45 min.) Wednesdays TBD
  • Four Hand Piano Ensembles (30/45 min.) Thu/Sats TBD

Music Appreciation

(45 Min.) $200
This is an introductory class which presents the main elements of music, how music
has developed and changed throughout history, and the role of music in society. Emphasis
will be on understanding musical elements and aural applications. Attendance required at
selected live performances.

Rock Band

(60 Min.) $240/$300 (With 4 Lessons)
For students who want to play in a rock band or for players that have also had some experience with a bona fide six-string or drum set, this is the class for you. Beginners must also take at least four, 15-minute lessons. All students must have basic knowledge of guitar chords. Electric Guitar required.

Metropolis Youth Choirs

(60 Min.) $240
Metropolis Youth Choirs are a fantastic opportunity for your student to hone their musical ears and study voice through a variety of choral arrangements and performances.
