Dance School

You’ll gain a strong foundation and understanding of dance technique in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, theatrical dance and hip hop – as well as a multitude of styles and genres. Dance levels are organized according to age. However, a student can be recommended for a higher level based on a student’s ability and instructor assessment.

Grades K-2
(45 min. classes)

Ballet/Jazz
These combined classes will teach you the foundations of technical ballet and jazz training while discovering the elements that connect the two dance styles. During our Fall and Spring semesters, you then can focus solely on intensive Ballet OR Jazz study.

Fall 2008
Pre-Ballet
is the class where students start laying the foundation for their dance education journey. Students will explore the basic foundations of ballet technique and vocabulary while having space for creative movement and expression.
Beginner Tap
combines the beginnings of movement exploration with experience in rhythm and coordination. Students will experience the foundations of tap technique and vocabulary in a welcoming environment.
Combined Pre-Ballet and Beginner Tap
to experience the balance between the development of basic ballet technique with the exploration of rhythm and beginner tap skills.
The combination class is great for a well-rounded beginning toward a dance education.
Ballet (Level I, II, III, IV)
Ballet students explore ballet foundations and technique through traditional approaches of a ballet class. Students will build strength in movement and understanding of technique and vocabulary. Upper levels have the opportunity to experiment with choreography and artistry with their skills.
Jazz (Level I, II, II, IV)
Jazz students will develop understanding and mastery of jazz technique and skills. Students will study different choreographers and pioneers in the field, as well as experiment with their own choreography and artistry.
Combined Ballet & Jazz (I, II, III, IV)
Combining Ballet and Jazz will give the student the perfect balance of separate techniques, as well as the opportunity to experience the interplay and bridging between the two. For all Ballet and Jazz classes, each level provides developmentally appropriate intensity and technique according to age
and ability.
Hip Hop (Middle School, High School)
Experience rhythm, articulation in movement, strength, agility and improvisation skills in this challenging approach to Hip Hop. Students also explore history and influences while trying their hand at their own concepts of movement.
Better Body Workout
Build a great body through the use of dance! This class uses the basics of dance technique – alignment, balance, strength and flexibility – to create a fun workout that will get you in shape with better understanding of your own body and movement. If you’re a beginner or just looking for a new way to exercise, this class is sure to be exciting and challenging.
Adult Dance
Friday Night Dance Series Ages 21+
On the first Friday of every month, try a new dance class! This is a chance for you to go out on the town, meet new people and have a blast learning new moves in a fun class setting with professional instruction. NO experience required – just have a blast! Classes are offered in Swing, Salsa, Disco, Hip Hop and Tango
