Metropolis Jazz Camp
This three-day camp is a must for all aspiring jazz musicians! It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business. Work with renowned jazz musicians Rob Parton, of Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts, and Ted Hogarth, leader of The Mulligan Mosaics Big Band, to build your chops as both an individual artist and an ensemble member.
• Strong focus on big band ensemble experience supplemented by jazz combo playing
• Intense work on improvisational skill-building
• Jazz master classes for individual instruments
• Placement auditions are required of all students registered for Metropolis Jazz Camp. (Auditions are used solely for level appropriate ensemble placement and will be held at 8am on Tuesday, June 22.)
