Stephen Daday, President
Partner at Klein, Daday, Aretos & O'Donoghue, LLC
STEPHEN G. DADAY joined Klein, Daday, Aretos & O’Donoghue, LLC as a partner in 1987. Upon joining KDAO, Mr. Daday established the civil litigation and mortgage foreclosure departments. Mr. Daday concentrates his practice in civil litigation including actions on behalf of creditors and mortgage foreclosures, labor relations and employment, zoning, eminent domain, and condominium law, and forcible entry and detainer. Mr. Daday practices in both state and federal court and is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Daday’s practice also includes transactional matters including commercial and residential real estate, leasing, and loan documentation. Mr. Daday earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and International Relations from the University of Notre Dame in 1977 and earned his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in 1980.
Colleen G. Ungurean, Vice President
Occupational Therapist, Clare Woods Academy
A long-time resident of Arlington Heights, Colleen has served on many committees and currently sits on the Rolling Meadows Athletic Booster Board. She has served on the Metropolis Soiree committee for eight years, the Metropolis Gala committee for five years and the Metropolis Wine Tasting committee for 1 year.Colleen serves as an Occupational Therapist at Clare Woods Academy in Wheaton. She has been an O.T. for 30 years working in Education, Rehabilitation and Traumatic Head Injury. The majority of her career has been in Education where she has experience with problem solving, working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents and administration. Colleen and her husband Dave are active community members and share their philanthropic values with their children Jonathan, a sophomore at Iowa State and daughter Hannah a Junior at Rolling Meadows High School.
Gary L. Gephart, CPA, Treasurer
Retired Financial Executive
Gary retired in June 2015 as Assistant Vice President – Finance at NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston, Illinois. However, he is currently serving as Interim Controller at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. Gary and his late wife, Linda, moved to Arlington Heights from Wisconsin in 1977. They were active leaders in the Boy Scouts of America program (Troop 32 and Pack 169) with their son, Geoffrey. Gary is a CPA and has a MS Degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He has worked in the not-for-profit healthcare industry for the past 35+ years. He is currently an active volunteer with his local church, St. John UCC, and with The Night Ministry in Chicago. Gary is an avid theatergoer and has been attending Metropolis events from day one. He is proud to be a member of the Board and to be able to pass on the love of the performing arts to his two grandchildren.
Allison Orr, Secretary
Events Manager, Jam Theatricals
Allison is thrilled to return to Metropolis and serve on the board. She grew up in Arlington Heights, and discovered her love for the performing arts while attending Metropolis' Curtains Up! summer camp at age 12. From there, Allison founded a student-run theatre company and stayed involved at Metropolis working on shows from 2005-2013. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management concentrated in Performing Arts Management, and has had the pleasure of working at Ravinia Festival, Broadway in Chicago, Steppenwolf, and more. Allison currently works for Jam Theatricals, an eight-time Tony-award winning theatrical presenter, producer, and promoter. She attends North Park University, and will receive her Masters in Nonprofit Administration in 2016. Metropolis is a gift to be supported and cherished in our community. See you at the theater!
Executive Director, Haven Theatre Company
Carol is the Executive Director of the Haven Theatre Company of Chicago, which was described by Chris Jones of the Chicago Tribune as "nascent, but impressive", and "one of Chicago's must-follow theater companies" by The Front Row Theater Blog. Carol attended Columbia College of Chicago majoring in Theater with concentrations in Costume Design, Dramatury, and Theater Management. Over the course of her career, Carol has either produced, costumed or directed over 50 theatrical productions. Carol was very active in local school board issues, and served on the Marketing Committee for the Lake Zurich District 95 Referendum Committee which was successful in passing a referendum that allowed the Lake Zurich High School Performing Arts Center to be funded and built. Past board experience includes the CUSD 95 Referendum Committee and the Farmington Bath and Tennis Club, as well as serving as PTO President for several years. Carol lives in Kildeer and is the mother of two grown sons, and the grandmother of one.
President of Corporate & Business Development, PACK Pharmaceuticals
A 20+ year veteran in developing and implementing sales strategies and initiatives within the generic pharmaceutical industry, Chris is a Founder and President of PACK Pharmaceuticals located in Buffalo Grove, IL. He began his business career in 1990, working in marketing and sales for a generic pharmaceutical subsidiary of Akzo-Nobel and has held executive positions in sales and marketing with several US based pharmaceutical companies. In early 2003, Chris co-founded Pharmaceutical Sales Consultants, LLC and later co-founded PACK Pharmaceuticals, LLC. Chris earned his B.S. in Business Marketing from Eastern Illinois University. Chris grew up in Northbrook, IL and now lives in Arlington Heights with his wife Sue and two children. Chris enjoys being involved at Metropolis by serving on several committees as well as being a subscriber through the Marquee Program, where he has the opportunity to meet and socialize with other supporters, staff, and casts of Metropolis.
Owner of Mitchell Marketing Management
Jim Mitchell has a diverse background in marketing, video production and public relations. Since starting Mitchell Marketing Management in 1998, he has worked with clients including Fortune 100 companies as well as local businesses here in Arlington Heights managing projects and providing marketing strategies, creative development and execution, and public relations programs. He has been associated with the cable television industry for three decades managing projects directly involved in the development and deployment of products like on-screen program guides, Video on Demand, DVRs, HD, and interactive services for operators across the country. His career began in video production where he won multiple awards for writing, producing and directing a wide range of programs.
He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Saint Viator High School (’77) and is the Volunteer Coordinator for the Chicago Alumni for Marquette University.
He was involved in the original marketing plan for Metropolis and has been involved with the theater in many ways over its history. He has been a season subscriber for several years and is a sponsor of various events at the theater.
